Terms & Conditions
Proof of purchase may be required to proceed with a warranty claim. Failure to provide sufficient criteria for this may cause delays in the warranty process. If the repair does not qualify for warranty repair, we will provide you a quotation for its repair and there is a minimum assessment charge payable of $115 including GST. Please note: For all warranty repairs, the systems software including its firmware, operating system, applications and user data will be erased and when relevant, updated to the latest version available. This will result in the deletion of any data stored on the device. Please ensure you have your own back up prior to servicing your device with Connect NZ.By submitting your device for repair, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, please do not submit your device for repair.
Customer Acceptance and Data
Any fault(s) detected that are not covered under the “Manufacturer’s Warranty” terms and conditions will incur the minimum billing rate. Any further chargeable work will only be carried out on receipt of the approval of the customer. Examples of non-warranty-related faults are: accidental damage, software, viruses, data corruption, liquid, power surge and impact damages. It is the responsibility of the owner to back up any data prior to the device being handed to Connect NZ. We in no way, warrant the integrity or safety of any data stored on your device.
Repair quotations are subject to change if any unforeseen faults or parts pricing adjustments are encountered during the repair process. The customer will be contacted for approval prior to the extra repairs commencing or additional costs being incurred.
The assessment fee covers the time taken to diagnose the fault(s) and document the repair event. If additional time or hardware (parts) are required for the assessment to quote a repair, an additional quotation is provided prior to the customer before this work commences.

Customers are responsible for collecting their devices within 21 days of being notified that the repair is complete. If a device is not collected within 21 days, a storage fee of $5 per day will be charged. If the device is not collected within three months, Connect NZ reserves the right to resell, dismantle or recycle and dispose of the device.
Connect NZ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including, but not limited to, loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from the use, repair, or inability to use your device, even if Connect NZ has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Connect NZ’s total liability for any claims arising from the repair services provided shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for the repair service.
In the event that Connect NZ is unable to resolve a device issue, the customer will be notified, and the device will be returned to the customer in its original condition. Connect NZ is not responsible for any unresolved issues that may arise due to device limitations or complications.
Connect NZ respects the privacy of its customers and commits to keeping customer data confidential. However, by submitting your device for repair, you acknowledge and agree that Connect NZ may access, use, preserve, or disclose your information if required by law or if we believe in good faith that such action is necessary to comply with the law, enforce these Terms and Conditions, or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Connect NZ, its customers, or the public.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the New Zealand law in which Connect NZ operates. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms and Conditions or the repair services provided by Connect NZ shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Zealand.
Connect NZ reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any such modifications will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. By submitting your device for repair, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the current version of these Terms and Conditions.
